Egypt's Stock Exchange Index EGX Ranks in Top 5 Best Performing in the World

As reported by Enterprise earlier today, the Egyptian Stock Exchange index EGX has been ranked the fifth best performing in the world, based on data compiled by Country Economy.

Leading the ranking is Venezuela's market, which is soaring 1304.26%, followed by Ukraine's main index, Ghana, and Ukraine's UX index. EGX came in 5th with a 16.25% expansion.

The Egyptian stock exchange market is one of the world's oldest, having been established in Alexandria in 1883 before breaking the ground in Cairo in 1903. In the 1940s the Egyptian Stock Exchange ranked fifth biggest in the world.
