Baby Thrown Out Of Hospital Window in Tanta, Gharbia

A video has gone viral on Egyptian social media, showing people picking up a mud-covered infant from the ground right outside Tanta University Hospital, after reportedly being thrown out of the hospital's window. Ahram Online reports that the baby miraculously survived the fall and has been put in the hospital’s intensive care unit.

Security forces are on the lookout for the culprits who are believed to be the newborn’s own mother and two other women. According to eyewitness accounts, the three suspects came into the hospital’s obstetrics and gynecology department under the pretext of visiting relatives; they later head to the bathroom where they allegedly committed this act before disappearing.
