Update: Suicide Bomber Attacks the Iconic Karnak Temple in Luxor

Horror has struck the heart of one of Egypt's most important ancient sites.

UPDATE: Interior Minister arrives on the scene following a number of major officials. According to AFP reporter about ten buses have arrived early this morning in a show of in a show of solidarity with Egypt by tourists. 

Egyptians are in shock, as news is breaking that a suicide bomber has blown himself up at iconic ancient Temple of Karnak in Luxor.

The terrorist act occurred late Wednesday morning, and few details have been revealed at this time. The site is among Egypt’s most popular tourist destination and is frequented by millions of foreign and Egyptian tourist ever year. As it stands, there are no immediate report of any casualties.

The news comes via the Associated Press, who cites an official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorised to speak to media. Previously police have claimed that they foiled two other suicide attacks targeting the Nile-side temple.
