Egypt tourism sector takes another positive step towards recovery as Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and Norway announced late last week that they lifting their travel warnings on trips to South Sinai including popular tourist hubs Sharm El-Sheikh, Dahab, and St. Catherine.

As of Friday, the four Nordic countries have decided to retract their travel warnings to Egypt and the South Sinai region. The retraction is a welcoming change for the region that heavily depends on tourism, which continues to slowly recover from the Russian plane crash in 2015 that spurred countries around the world to issue travel bans and warnings.

These Nordic countries are not the first to recently lift their bans or adjust their warnings as flights from various European countries have already resumed flights to the area.
