Koreans come to Egypt's Rescue

Good news for Egypt's dire employment situation thanks to the South Koreans. Samsung have commenced production at their first factory in Egypt, situated in Beni Suef.

Samsung hope to supply the Egyptian market with the latest LED screen technology and provide thousands of jobs to people in the Southern Egypt region. The current unemployment rate in the governorate is around 6% and that's only what has been "officially" recorded.

In a statement, Samsung's Egyptian Factory CEO, who is, err, Korean said, "The establishment of this factory will turn Egypt into a regional hub for the manufacture and export of Samsung products to all Middle East markets, which will create an opportunity to expand core strategic investments".
