50% Off Uber Rides in Sahel This Weekend to Promote Road Safety

Road safety in Egypt is an ongoing and relevant concern. Come every summer, we hear about Sahel and Sokhna crashes that rage from the downright devastating to the "thank God w're still alive". Almost everyone has lost someone to a car crash or knows someone who has. It's to the point that according to the World Health Organization, Egypt loses 12,000 lives to road traffic crashes every year. What makes these crashes so tragic is that a lot of them could have been prevented, but due to the rising number of reckless drivers in Egypt, the issue of road safety continues to grow in relevance, especially along the North Coast and the country's highways.  

To help combat this spike and to simply just save lives, Uber teamed up with insurance partner AXA since last Eid to raise awareness about road safety through their initiative #SayefSafely, giving all Uber riders massive discounts on their Sahel rides every weekend. This is an ongoing campaign with different promo codes every weekend. This week's promo code is AXAROADSAFETY, with which anyone Ubering in Sahel this weekend gets 50 percent off their rides.
