Social media responds with 100s of pictures of individuals saluting the fallen in the attack.

Staff Writer

Following the tragic deaths of police officers and soldiers in the Western Desert Friday, Egyptian actor and producer Asser Yassin launched a hashtag campaign to honour the lives of the fallen.

It didn’t take long for Egyptians to jump and show support as well, with scores posting photos of themselves saluting their countrymen with the hashtag #حيوهم_فين_ما_كنتم_دول_ماتوا_علشان_سلامكم (honour them wherever you are, they died for your peace).

Here are some of the biggest voices that expressed their support:

‎#حيوهم_فين_ما_كنتم_دول_ماتوا_علشان_سلامكم ‎كل واحد فيكم يصور نفسه ويشير التحية للبواسل.. ‎قلبى حزين ومقهوره 🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬 العالم كله لو اختار التجاهل،احنا عمرنا ما هاننسي ‎#تعظيم_سلام ‎#حادث_الواحات #منة_عمارة #مصر 🇪🇬 ____________ We salute the heroes that sacrifice their lives for our safety. If the world chooses to turn a blind eye, we never will. Share your salute in their honor. #SaluteOurTroops #Egypt #World #Safety #Heroes #menna_emara #Egypt🇪🇬#مصر_قوية #أم_الدنيا #النصر_لمصر #egypt#worldcup#world_cupegypt#sports#smile#follow4follow##مستقبل#منة_عمارة##fashio #missegypt#ME#menna_emara#fifa18#fifa#worldcup#world_cup#egypt
