Staff Writer

The Cairo International Fine Art Biennale is being revived after a 10-year hiatus. This initiative was taken by the Minister of Culture, Inas Abdel Dayem.

The Cairo International Fine Art Biennale is a showcase of a wide range of different mediums of art. The art in the exhibition will include works of sculptures, photography, graphic, video, and compositional pieces.

The Ministry of culture released a statement on October 23rd, in which they emphasized that the fine art exhibition returning is a step towards bridging Egypt and the world through art and culture.

The Head of the Fine Arts sector, Khaled Sorour, added that the Supreme Committee of the Biennial has begun organizing the 13th Cairo International Fine Art Biennale and has already invited different countries.

“This is an important step to restore the international activities, including Alexandria’s Biennale for Mediterranean Countries, International Graphic Art Biennial, Ceramics Biennale and many other events, which have been suspended,” the Fine Syndicate added.

The Cairo International Fine Art Biennale’s newest edition, “Toward the East” will be launched in April of next year.
