Egypt Hosts Special Olympics

A senior sporting official announced this week that Egypt will organise and host the 8th Regional Special Olympic Games at the end of 2014. Egypt has always been notoriously awesome at the Special Olympics. Maybe it's because they face so many challenges as it is living in Egypt so our contenders do all they can to show that they are more worthy humans than the Egyptian government make them out to be.

In a press conference on Wednesday, Regional Director of the Special Olympics in the Middle East and North Africa Ayman Abdel Wahhab said that the event is considered one of the largest sporting tournaments in the region for people with special needs. "The last time Egypt hosted this important event was 15 years ago," Abdel Wahhab said. He added that the Olympic Games will convey a message to the world that Egypt is safe and stable.

"Twenty-two Arab countries, along with Iran will compete in this event," he added.
