Egyptian Lawyer Appointed in US Superior Court for First Time

Lawyer David Labib has been appointed as a judge of appeal in the Supreme Court of the US state of New Jersey, making him the first Egyptian to hold this position.

The New Jersey State Congress chose him as an appellate judge, marking the second time in the history of the United States of America to choose an Egyptian judge for this position.

The newly appointed judge previously worked as the Attorney General of the State of New Jersey as well as a criminal lawyer.
