Egyptian State Council Official Arrested in Possession of Millions in Alleged Bribe Money

According to Al-Ahram, procurement manager of the Egyptian State Council Gamel El-Laban Ibrahim was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly accepting bribe money.

The Administrative Control Authority was reported by Al Ahram Arabic to have found Ibrahim in possession of EGP 24 million, $4 million, 2 million euros, and one million Saudi Riyals. Ibrahim was also reportedly in possession of big amounts of gold accessories and "various other gifts".

Ibrahim has been detained pending investigation on charges of bribery, Al-Masry Al-Youm reported.
