Exclusive: The Temple Becomes Permanent Nightclub

The home of some of the biggest parties, concerts and events over the last few years, The Temple will become a standalone venue with its own unique nights.

Exciting times ahead as Cairo’s busy cosmopolitan nightlife gains another club! Now, we all know the Temple from countless raves, epic parties and awesome gigs, but we can exclusively reveal it will be taken over and turned into its own standalone venue.

The Temple’s marketing representative, Sarah Hamzeh, explains that the venue will aim to counter the recently mounting underground scene with Commercial music on Thursdays, as well as on-demand House music dedicated to free-spirited Fridays! One of the most popular venues in town will now host its own parties and club nights dedicated to all the nocturnal party-goers of Cairo. “There is a distinct majority in Egypt who enjoy and miss listening to Rock music, 80s and 90s music, RnB, Hip Hop and EDM,” reiterates Hamzeh. “We focus mostly on Progressive House on Thursday nights like those Radio tracks you hear from the likes of Alesso, Calvin Harris, Nicky Romero and others. Meanwhile Fridays are focused on mainly Tech House and Deep House; we don't play techno! Our DJs will focus more on tracks with vocals that are known to be commercial. We aim to target a different crowd than the usual nowadays, to inspire a different vibe.”

Local, regional and international DJs and artists abiding to the aforementioned genres will be hosted at The Temple. With the screaming rise of Techno in Cairo, the classic sound of Progressive House, which established itself in the Egyptian music scene for decades, now ceases to exist, Hamzeh accordingly took the decision to strictly dedicate her efforts to bringing that sound back to the dance floor! “I miss dressing up, going to a decent club and listening to good Progressive House music!” Certainly a statement many in town would agree to.

We'll get you the exclusive on the arrangements too as tickets for the opening night (soon to be announced) will be made available for delivery, after which guest-list reservations for the following events will be necessary.
