Massar Egbari, Telepoetic and many more are set to appear at the French Institute’s 'Fete de la Musique' on the 16th of June in Al Ahzar park. Oh, and did we mention it's FREE?

The French Institute, together with Oscarisma Studio and the Al Darb Al Ahmar Arts School, is hosting its biggest event of the year! Fête de la Musique 2016 kicks off at 8 PM with series of performances at the various stages around Al Ahzar park.

Be sure to catch the musically explosive brass ensemble Oscarisma Studio, the sonic circus that is the Al Darb Al Ahmar Arts School, and the energized post-rock stylings of Telepoetic. Additionally, the Cairo Conservatoire Experience, a new collaboration between the students of the Conservatoire and French musician Jérôme Ettinger (of The Egyptian Project) is sure to be a highlight of the event!

Starting 10 PM, the main stage opens to welcome french Alt-Rockers Baden Baden, fresh off their sold-out tours in Beirut and Istanbul. Closing off the night in a fittingly electrifying fashion, the beloved four piece Alexandrian Rock outfit Massar Egbari takes the stage with their infectiously sublime blend of Rock, Jazz and traditional oriental sounds! The eclectic night of amazing performances has something for everybody, and will likely be the best way to spend time for those awaiting sohour.
