Google Shows Solidarity for Minya Attack Victims with Black Ribbon

In light of the recent attack on Coptic Christians in Minya, search engine Google shows its solidarity by placing a black ribbon on their homepage. The attack targeted a bus en route to the Monastery of Saint Samuel, killing at least seven people.

The Islamic State claimed the attack along with other terror groups in the same league. They have claimed to have carried out many attacks on the Coptic Christian minority in the past, including the attack that also took place in Minya two years ago killing 28 people.

The Egyptian State Information Service affirmed that the crime is a “desperate attempt” by terrorist groups that proves their weakness in a statement on Friday.
