Heineken's EPIC Soccer Bar

It's around that time of year again when the world goes football crazy as the Champions League returns for the second round of matches and, this yearm it's looking particularly exciting with Europe's top teams sill in the running including a mouthwatering face-off between the champions of Spain, Barcelona, and England, Manchester City.

The problem is, it's always hard to find the right place to watch the matches live in Cairo. Internet speed means streaming a match becomes 90 minutes of frustrating browsing and pop up ads; if you go out to watch the match at a bar, you're usually surrounded by droves of people who know nothing about football and there's usually a DJ playing Tech-House over Richard Keys' vital match commentary, and, if you go to a cafe to watch, there's no beer! And as we all know beer is a vital piece of the perfect live match setting.

This month, Heineken Egypt have said enough is enough - Egyptians must have a place where everybody knows their names (of the players), a place where footy fans can go indulge in their hooligan antics in comfortable surroundings which have all the ingredients for a perfect couple of hours of Chamions League action. Their pop up venue at Almaz in Marriott Zamalek will be just that, providing big screen TVs, lounges and bean bags, beer, burgers, babyfoot and fully stocked bar. Expect a tonne of exciting competitions and chances to get your hands on some seriously fun Heineken goodies too. We heard that at every match, there'll be a chance to prove your alliegence to your team, as fans are asked to stand by their teams and if your team has the most fans in attendance that night, you'll all get some prizes! That's not to mention that for every two Heinekens lapped up, you get half a ticket. If the ticket matches the other half that is placed on a fixed stand every match night, you win tickets to the final screening event of the UCL final in Egypt...... AS WELL AS ENTER THE DRAW TO WIN A TRIP TO IBIZA!!!!!

Heineken's Soccer Bar opens to the public this Wednesday 26th, airing the Galatasary Vs Chelsea game, but the bar will also be open outside of match days for some Heineken-in-hand chillaxing and footy banter.
