New Open-Air Cinema Concept Launches in Downtown Cairo

While we do enjoy our weekly dose of partying where we wake up barely remembering what we did the night before, every now and again, we like to switch it up a little.

Getting all dolled up for a dinner or a night out on the town is great but it just doesn't cut it anymore when we want to impress our dates with something out-of-the-box or simply looking for a way to unwind with something that's a little different than the usual. We're usually at a loss as to what to do in these situations. Up until recently that is. Urban Cinema, which launched its first edition last week in the Unicorn Garden, is the first open-air cinema in Egypt serving us intriguing screenings with some wine at hand, and we're here for it.

Set up at MO4 Network's Unicorn Garden rooftop and overlooking Cairo's gorgeous Downtown, Urban Cinema will be privately screening everything from independent films, blockbuster movies, hit series and everything in between. The private events will be taking place on a monthly basis.

For their first edition, conveniently coinciding with Halloween, Urban Cinema partnered up with Netflix to bring us a spooky night where we got to scooch just a little closer to our date under the pretext of being terrified and a little cold. Good times.

Showing two Netflix originals, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and The Haunting of Hill House, for the launch of the monthly Urban Cinema events, we also kind of got to indulge our acting skills in the replica setups based on exact scenes from both series, and this is how it went down.

Urban Cinema is a private venue, follow up with their agenda via Instagram.
