Netflix and Chills: The Two New Shows Keeping You Terrified This Halloween

Netflix and chill just got a whole lot creepier.

Staff Writer

With halloween right around the corner, and costume parties being so last season and all, we're up to something entirely different this year; Netflix and Chills. Luckily, Netflix has equipped us with all the series and movies to make this Halloween the creepiest one yet, made even creepier with the release of two new Netflix original series; The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and The Haunting of Hill House.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina features our favourite witch, except that this remake is a lot less quirky and a lot more real (well, as real as summoning demons, cult worshipping and weird looking horned devils go). Starring Kiernan Shipka, Sabrina is a coming-of-age show where the witch continues to fight her demons (pun intended) as she struggles to find the balance between the mortal and immortal worlds. Her demons are just actual demons in this re-adaptation. Launching on October 26th, the show's script writer is none other than Riverdale's showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacassa, so you know it’s good.Sabrina isn't the only one giving us chills this Halloween, as Netflix is also dropping another show to make our blood run cold, The Haunting of Hill House.

Released globally on Friday October 12th in honour of Halloween, The Haunting of Hill House follows the story of siblings who grew up in a haunted house and are brought back together as adults to face ghosts from their past. A modern adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s novel with the same name, this series is sure to get your Netflix date scooting just a little bit closer on Halloween night. With already 10 episodes released, the show's series were created, directed and executively produced by Mike Flanagan, the spooky genius behind Oculus, Hush and Gerald's Game.

Netflix is also launching a few more spooky surprises for its viewers, so be sure to stay updated through their Instagram.
