Theatre of Dreams, set to start their Cairo season this coming weekend, is hosting Brazilian DJ Sonic Future as their first booking.
Theatre of Dreams has gone from one success to the other since its inception by Egyptian promoter Mahmoud Zidane. From Sinai to Cairo to Sahel, the nightlife/entertainment brand has been kicking ass all over the place. This coming weekend they are bringing their take on dance music back to Cairo to start the new season. Set to play on the night is none other than Brazilian DJ/Producer Sonic Future. The man behind the alias, Cesar Funck, has been to Egypt two times before, but not in Cairo though, citing his excitement to play Egypt's capital city on his Facebook page.
In the past few years, Sonic Future saw releases on major labels such as Suara, Hotfingers, and Santos Music. Genre is not what concerns Sonic Future, as long as the music is good, suitable enough to move something inside the minds of the modern collective. What's sure is that whatever you're getting will always be top notch quality, and that's not according to us, as the artist has seen support from artists like Elke Kleijn, Nora En Pure, Jean Claude Ades, and many more.
The party at Imperial's Venue Bar & Lounge is set to accommodate a maximum of 250 guests, as TOD are fixed on ensuring that the gig is an intimate, delicate affair, so don't pack your sunglasses and glow sticks just yet. Local heroes Abou Samra and Baher are also making appearances, set to play alongside Sonic Future, ensuring a well-rounded night of different styles.
