Therapeutic Virtual Reality Conference to Take Place in Alexandria

Today’s technologically advanced society presents us with almost unlimited access to information through the internet. Alexandria’s Augmented/Virtual Reality Meetup group is a group of tech enthusiasts focused on internet and emerging technologies. Their July 22nd event in Alexandria, Building Communities in Virtual Reality, will focus on issues like social anxiety and how virtual reality can empower an individual to overcome social obstacles and establish fulfilling connections.

The meetup partners virtual reality professionals and enthusiasts in a space where they can collaborate and discuss exciting new developments in virtual reality. The meetup is sponsored by therapeutic VR software developer VRapeutic, AR social platform Augmania and IT service provider ITQAN. Guest speaker Lisa Kotecki from AltspaceVR will be discussing her company’s experience using virtual reality to help those struggling with social anxiety and will present some enlightening case studies.

The AR/VR meetup group regularly provides a space for open discussion on the latest industry updates for AR/VR developers and enthusiasts. Additionally, the conference will give its attendeess some serious networking opportunities.
