11 Egyptian Athletes Receive Medals in Buenos Aires 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games

One day before the closing ceremony, Egyptian athletes received three gold medals, two silver, and six bronze at the Youth Olympic Games.

On the final day of the international sports' event Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games - also known as Summer Youth Olympic Games - 11 Egyptian athletes received three gold, two silver and six bronze medals.

Salma Abdel Maksoud and Ahmed El Gendy both received gold medals for Modern Pentathlon, while Yasmine El Gewely received the gold medal for Karate.

The silver medal was received by Naema Said for Weightlifting, and the bronze medals by Mazen Elaraby for Fencing, Abdelrahman Sameh for swimming, Eyad Adel for Taekwondo, Abdalla Galal for Weightlifting, and Ahmed Khalil for Wrestling.

Egypt is participating in three more events later today.

The Buenos Aires Youth Olympics is an international sports event; this year it is being held in Beunos Aires, Argentina from 6 to 18 October.
