Egypt to Establish State-of-the-Art Training Centre for Construction Workers in New Capital

Egypt has accepted a proposal by China State Construction Engineering Cooperation’s (CSCEC), one of the largest construction companies globally, to opening a training academy for Egyptian workers to learn the latest systems and techniques in construction, reports Xinhua.

The New Urban Communities Authorities (NUCA) has allocated 20.16 hectares for the project in the New Administrative Capital and will have ownership of both the building and equipment transferred to it after seven years of the CSCEC running the academy.

The academy aims to provide professional workers with the tools needed to meet demands and needs for projects being established at the new capital, according to NUCA.

CSCEC has been handling the construction of the central business district in the New Capital, with construction work starting in 2018 and set to be completed in 3.5 years, according to CSCEC’s chief executive officer.

As of 2016, The China State Construction Engineering Corporation is the 14th largest general contractor where oversea sales are concerned.
