The Very First E-Commerce Summit is Coming to Egypt

The summit aims to stir up the conversation about the potential of selling online.

Staff Writer

Recently, e-commerce has been blowing up in Egypt. In 2018, the Egyptian government has announced a new strategy that plans to double the size of e-commerce by 2020. Today, 35% of millennials have started or plan to start their own business. Now, we have the very first e-commerce summit in Egypt, at the Nile Ritz Carlton on the 28th of September.

The e-commerce summit defines itself as “the beginning of a grass-root movement to stir up the conversation about the potential of selling online, a place educating and raising awareness of retailers and brands about the inner workings of e-commerce and a unique chance for top-tier retailers to network with service providers, marketeers, and industry leaders sharing the passion for e-commerce under the same roof.”

The summit will be divided into three stages:

  • Strategy track: Understanding the customers’ needs and wants.
  • Tactics track: Explore what you need to transform your business to sell online, how to define your long-term and short-term business goals.
  • Execution track: Discover all the nitty-gritties your business needs to be investing in, and watch and listen to the stories of business that transformed online.

Industry leaders from various established e-commerce businesses will be holding talks aiming to help anyone involved in e-commerce.

The most exciting part, however, is the Robusta Startup challenge, where 10 shortlisted startups will battle it out for the chance to win $10,000, as well as other surprises.

Tickets are now on sale, and you can get them here.
