The Liverpool and Egypt star won the same award last year.

For the second year running, Egypt and Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah, has been shortlisted for the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) Men's Player of the Year Award, along with Liverpool teammate and Senegal international, Sadio Mane, and Arsenal's Gabonese striker, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang - the exact same shortlist of three from last year's edition of the award, which was won by Salah.

An awards gala will be hosted in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, on January 8th, where the winner will be announced.

Salah was recently been named BBC's African Footballer of the Year for the second year running and has scored 13 goals in 20 Premier League appearances to help Liverpool finish the calendar year in first place in the English Premiership, with many pundits placing the team as firm favourites to win their first league title in 28 years.
