Egyptian Weightlifter Takes Gold at the Mediterranean Games

Egyptians are really doing some damage at the Mediterranean Games.

Egyptian weightlifter Mohamed Ehab took the gold medal in the 77kg weighlifting competition at the Mediterranean Games in Spain, according to Egypt Today.

This is the 28 year old’s sixteenth medal, after making history at the World Weightlifting Championships by lifting three gold medals and giving Egypt its first gold in this competition in 66 years. He is also ranked number one in the world in the official IWF Rankings for the 77kg category.

This was Egypt’s 7th gold medal in this year’s competition. They currently rank in sixth place in the overall medals list, with 23 won in total.
