OPPO’s Find X: Smoothing the Edges between Power and Pretty

Exceedingly cute with performance to boot.

The simplest trend anybody could observe when it comes to technology is that sacrifices must be made in favour of either form or function. You don’t typically find a high-performance product with matching aesthetic, and similarly, not everything that looks pretty performs as much. OPPO, on the other hand, don’t really like conforming to trends, they shake them up and put a fresh coat of paint on them. The Find X is just the latest example of this statement (and their mission) in the smartphone world.

Continuing their illustrious Find line after 2014’s Find 7, the of its kind to sport a 2K display, the Find X does away with regular conventions when it comes to standard smartphone design with a simple, yet aesthetically powerful twist; the thing has no notches or edges to speak of.

The screen isn’t contained within any standard confines; it flows like an HD river over the entire surface of the handset, creating a literally flat-out gorgeous aesthetic for any appreciator of fine design. The front has no holes or indents to speak of, and neither does the rear, creating a seamless one-of-a-kind panoramic experience. But if the back is totally smooth, what about the camera? Glad you asked.

Playing on a design approach akin to the elegant and stealthy vibe of a James Bond gadget, both the Find X’s 25 megapixel front camera and its dual 16+20 megapixel rear cameras are tucked inside the frame; they slide out like a mobile convertible on command. If that wasn’t enough, the camera section comes with a high-tech 3D structured lighting for some truly exceptional professional shots.

Like we said before; OPPO aren’t ones to sacrifice one for the other, and when it comes to performance, the Find X’s Snapdragon 845 processor is more than capable of overpowering nearly any and all of its competition. Add to that a whole 8 GBs of RAM, 256 GBs of on-board memory, and an Adreno 630 GPU that blows just about any other display module out of the metaphorical water, you’ll never be lacking in horsepower.

Worried about battery life? No need to fret; the Find X’s 3,730 mAh battery is hefty enough to handle the beast within, especially when paired with OPPO’s flagship VOOC Flash Charge tech. You can go from 10% to 90% in less than 30 minutes, and with software optimisation at its peak, drain might as well be a thing of the past.

The Find X comes in beautiful Bordeax Red, glistening Glacier Blue or the limited edition carbon fibre textures of the Find X Automobili Lamborghini, and after a lavish reveal event at Dubai's Armani Hotel, it is now available in Egypt.
