Great Pyramids of Giza Set to Host Next Edition of Squash’s Most Important Women’s Tournament

It's been 13 years since the historic site held the sport's most prestigious tournament.

The Great Pyramids of Giza will serve as the grandiose backdrop for the most prestigious of squash tournaments, the 2019-2020 PSA Women's World Championship, which is set to take place between October 23rd and November 1st this year.

The tournament, organised by the PSA (Professional Squash Association), returns to the historic site 13 years after the Men's World Championship was held there back in 2006.

Egypt and its cities have become synonymous with hosting the Women's Squash World Championships which will be taking place for the fourth time on Egyptian Grounds after it also took place of in Sharm ElSheikh (2010), Cairo (2014) and El Gouna (2016).

Last Sunday, Egyptian players, Ali Farag and Nour El Sherbini, both won first place trophies at the 2018-2019 PSA World Championship in Chicago, USA.
