Sharmoofers Set for Huge Concert with Movember Music Festival

They’re back. After a busy nine months that saw them lock themselves up, cut contact with family, friends and loved ones to work on their next album, cheeky chappies, Sharmoofers, are set to return to the stage with a huge event at Zamalek’s Horreya Park on Friday 9 November – and it’s shaping up to be quite the musical extravaganza.

Also featuring retro Arabic mish-mashers Disco Misr as its opening act, doors for The Movember Music Festival are set to open at 3PM, giving Sharmoofans (yep, that’s a thing) a little taste of what’s left of Cairo’s summer sun and even enjoy a bite and a drink from a range of different vendors that will be at the festival. On top of that, official radio sponsor, NRJ, and official music sponsor, Anghami, will be giving away tickets in the tun up to the festival - so keep a sharp eye - and they'll also be broadcasting the concert live.  The event is also powered by Huawei, who are serving up some surprises of their own, capturing the concert’s best moments – as well as a few sneaky snaps from backstage – with the new Nova 3.

Hot off the heels of another hit, Zamba, Sharmoofers are also taking the chance to do their part in raising awareness of men’s health issues – hence ‘Movember – so make sure your moustache game is on point – whether real or fake.

BUT WHAT ABOUT AL AHLY’S HUGE AFRICAN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL MATCH?? Don’t worry –being football fans themselves, Ahmed, Moe and the crew have made sure the festival finishes in time for y’all to head home (or to the ahwa) to catch the game. And just to make things even easier, SWVL is offering EGP 10 rides to and from the event in Cairo, and for EGP 50 for fans in Alexandria looking to catch the show.

It’s already been one of the most buzzed-about gigs of the month, as Sharmoofers’ rabid fan base continues to grow both in Egypt and across the region.

But that’s enough talk. Tickets are EGP 120. Click here to book your ticket online. Or call 16826. Or click here to find your nearest ticket outlet. Do something. Pick one. Quick. Now. Tickets are available at the door, too. So there's no excuse, really.
