This App is Saving Egyptians Tonnes of Trips to the Hospital

7keema is the Egyptian app sending us nurses straight to our doorsteps.

Staff Writer

7keema - an Egyptian service providing on-demand nurses - is the app that took the winning spot at this year's Seedstars world competition; a Switzerland based company that is committed to encouraging start ups and entrepreneurial initiatives. The Egyptian startup won the first round of the competition which took place in Cairo on the 4th of May 2018.

Launched in June 2017, 7keema is only available on android at the moment, but the app grants its subscribers two services; one is home-care nurses and the other is specialized medical services. The app detects the closest servicer to your location and sends them over. With a range of services including post-operation or birth care-giving, the online provider allows its patrons to track their requested nurses and pay by cash or credit upon completion of the task.

The app is a godsend for those of us who are just done with Cairo's traffic and would rather forgo the trip to the hospital rather than spend another 6 hours stuck on October bridge. Also allowing us to pick the gender of the service provider, 7keema plans to launch on iOS soon. For their home medical service, the price range is within EGP 260 to EGP 440, depending on whether it's a 12 hour service or a 24 hour one. For the specialized services, the prices vary depending on the task.

The nursing service provider is owned by HealthApp Group, along with another app specializing in sending physiotherapists to the house, Fizioo. The physiotherapy app offers its services for EGP 400 – 450.
