Tis the season TO GO SHOPPING! Now, in our nation of sand and no Santa Claus, the best way we know how to celebrate the Christmas festivities is not necessarily through hot chocolate and carols but rather, with some good old fashioned retail therapy and munchies. Because really, when is it NOT a good time for food and fab stuff? We may not have snow and reindeer but goddamit we have some cute stuff worth buying!

Getting ahead of the Christmas curve, Dina Maghawry is once again kicking off the season with her annual Christmas Shopping Week, where the divine designer joins forces with talented creators and craft makers in the city for an entire week bursting with beautiful goodies as well as drool-worthy homemade delicacies.

Pieces on display from last year's event

This year a variety of things will be on offer at the jewellery maven’s boutique in Zamalek. Maghawry’s handmade artisan pieces, brimming with colour and creativity, will be up for grabs naturally, but she’s also procured a whole roster of other talents to take part in this week. You can get your gift on with jewellery and home accessories by Rimal and Ahmed Ghoneim as well as fashionista-fab handmade bags by Celine Daoud. Origami by Ismael is back for the second year so you can get your hands on same amazing Asian-influenced creations, and Sara Saeed’s cute kitschy furniture will also be available.

And finally, indulge your inner foodie with the culinary creations that Lulu’s Kitchen and Bundle have teamed up to make especially for this event. The two have collaborated to give your taste buds a serious treat, creating Christmas baskets and bundles stocked with a whole load of home baked goodies, jams, and more.

Opening night is on the 6th of December so you can get in the holiday spirit early but you can shop until the 13th
