Gouna Gets Down

Ladies and gentlemen, pack your party shoes and do some stretches because this Easter, Gouna is in full swing with what can only be described as party OVERLOAD. Get away from the noisy city and retreat to the Red Sea, where drinks be flowin’, beats be poppin’, and people be bouncin’ the nights (and days) away. We’ve got the lowdown on the back-to-back events, so rest before you jet, and prepare for a week of detox when you’re back, because this one isn’t for the faint-hearted.

Gouna will be transforming Club 88 into your very own party playground, but instead of slides and swings, you’ll be playing with booze and beats. Get ready for a party marathon at Club 88, starting from the 1^st to the 6^th of May, featuring some of Egypt’s biggest spinners! With the likes of Baher, Ali Goede, Shaggy, minus T all in attendace, including visiting DJ Nhan Solo, this really will be THE Party Playground.

On the 3^rd of May, the sound and serene beach at Moods will be turned into a BonFire bonanza with a difference. Imagine the beach, body paint, black lights, and banging beats by none other than the femme fatale herself, DJ Mayounah. If you’re into getting low and shaking it to dirty Hip Hop and R&B beats, then raise your glasses for one of Europe’s hottest DJ’s, DJ Emil. Finally, a break from pure khabt, with Moods’ resident DJ Devil spinning some fantastic commercial tunes!

Now, looks like those long hours at byGanz and Nacelle (and their post-sunrise afterparties) will have you trained for this next event. Nicholas Royal presents a whopping 10-hour, House music festival by the sea on the 4^th of May. Make sure to get (some) sleep before you head to the Mangroovy beach from 12 PM to 9 PM, and bounce to some crazy beats featuring Europe’s hottest talent for Sandstorm: Beach Edition. The line up includes Starkillers, Amanda Wilson, Samuel Abello, Tony T, Ramzi Fennan, Don Palm, and Carlos! Now, we know you’ve all become pro at bobbing your heads for hours on end, but this time, take it to the stunning beach.

If you're Indie-inclined, the 4^th of May also sees Awesome Magazine orchestrating a 12-hour banger at the Gouna Clubhouse. From 2 PM to 2 AM, dance your feet off to one of UK House's finest, Luv*Jam. With recent releases on We Play House and Tsuba Records, and his very own Crow Castle Cuts and Blind Jack's Journey, Luv*Jam's productions are intimate, well-crafted experiences that never disappoint. As a DJ, Luv*Jam has played some of the world's leading festivals, parties and radio stations including Bestival, Chibuku, Creamfields, Global Gathering, Mulletover, Samurai, Sankey Soap, Secret Sonar, Tribal Gathering, Wakestock and We Love. To assist the veteran headliner, they have also put together a carefully selected line-up of Egypt's finest talents including minus T, Tamer Auf and Aly Goede!
