Who Wears Short Shorts?

In Lebanon, a group of students at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts were pretty pissed off about a new rule which stated that men are not allowed to wear shorts on campus and that they would expel every student who goes against this decree.

One opinion of Islamic practice is that men should always be covered from the knee to the belly button, and many countries in the region hold true to this belief, but Lebanon has always been known as the Dolce Vita of the Middle East, the liberal ones, so to speak, so it comes as a bit of a surprise, but no worries; the students had a pretty cheeky idea up their sleeves… and skirts.

They protested the ban by creating a short film in which they try to enter the campus wearing skirts instead of shorts. Not only is it pretty funny and an ingenious, ironic take on reverse sexism in the Middle East, but we actually think man-skirts look quite good!
