Ahmed Mekky’s 'Hazalqoum' to Make Theatrical Debut

Cairo Show Theatre has finalised agreements to produce 'Hazalqoum', starring Ahmed Mekky, and has started the preparation process in anticipation of its opening night. The play is based on Mekky’s comedic character of the same name.

Producer and Director Magdy Elhawary, co-founder of Cairo Show Theatre, has expressed his excitement for the play’s opening. Elhawary is a self-professed fan of the character and believes in its comedic richness. He anticipates that the character will succeed on stage just as much as it has on television and cinema. Elhawary also stated that the character will be revamped for its theatrical debut.

The play will be directed by Karim Samy and will also star Bayoumi Fouad, Mohamed Salam and Mohamed Mahmoud.
