Halloween isn't scary enough. There, we said it. You think you can spook us with ghosts and ghouls and zombies after what we've been through this year? We saw a murder hornet on TV once and we threw the TV out the window. Then we got the TV back because we needed something to display a scary movie on for our Halloween Eve party. But again, we reiterate - what frightening film, what chilling caper, could compete with real life? 'Friday the 13th'? 'The Exorcist'? 'Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood'? How about we look at something more local, like Egypt's very first vampire film, 'Bloodline' - or as it is otherwise known in Arabic, 'Khat Dam'.

Starring Egyptian actress Nelly Karim and Tunisian heartthrob Dhafer L'Abidine, Shahid's upcoming horror flick features a desperate pair of parents who try to save their child from a coma - with supernatural results.

"This film was an incredible project to be a part of. It was fantastic to be reunited with Dhafer L’Abidine in our first feature film together," Nelly Karim said, referring to their work in the TV series 'Under Control' ('Taht al-Saytara'). "I’m sure fans will be intrigued by our unconventional on-screen roles. This is an exceptional film for the region and I can’t wait for audiences to stream it this month.”

Written, directed and produced by Rami Yassin, 'Bloodline' will be streaming on Shahid starting October 30th, just in time for All Hallow's Eve to start settling into our bones.
