Cairo Opera House Jingles All the Way with Christmas Concert Series

From December 23rd and December 26th, Cairo Opera House is celebrating Christmas with a series of truly festive holiday concerts.

Cairo Scene

Few things herald the coming of Christmas Day like the joyous sound of caroling, whether it's the bouncy tune of Jingle Bells, the quiet reverence of Silent Night, or the bone-chilling echoes of Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas' haunting us in our sleep (seriously why is it everywhere?). From December 23rd and December 26th, Cairo Opera House is celebrating Christmas with a series of holiday concerts.

On Thursday, December 23rd and Friday, December 24th, the Main Halls will be decked with boughs of holly as the Cairo Symphony Orchestra will ring out classic Christmas songs like O Holy Night and When a Child is Born, taking the singalong carols we all know and turning it up to eleven with the full texture of the orchestra.

On December 24th, December 25th and December 26th, the Om Elnour Choir will take to the El Gomhoreya Theatre to sing their hearts out in an ode to joy.

And then, if you missed them previously, the Cairo Symphony Orchestra will bring back their Christmas concert at the Sayed Darwish Theatre, at the same time the classic ballet, The Nutcracker, takes over the Main Stage for a weeklong run.
