Sometimes the best part of a children's movie is the big theme song. We still have PTSD flashbacks to 'Let It Go', but we've got to admit, it was popular for a reason. And while we're sure that Netflix's upcoming animated feature 'Over the Moon' will enthrall us - because honestly, a celestial space adventure with a rocket-building little girl named Fei Fei to find the mystical moon goddess? AND it's directed by Oscar-winner Glen Leane? Can you get any more magical? - what we're really excited for is the Arabic dub. Specifically, the fact that Netflix tapped Carmen Soliman to sing the Arabic version of the theme song!

After winning ‘Arab Idol’ in its first season in 2012, Soliman released her first single, ‘Kalam Kalam’, making it to the number one spot on the Egyptian Charts in 2013. She followed it up with many hit singles like ‘Akhbari’ and ‘Azama Ala Azama’ throughout the years. This marks the second time Soliman sang for a resilient female character in an animated film, after becoming the singing voice for Moana in the Arabic dub back in 2016.

“I am thrilled to work with Netflix on this new project, representing Egypt and the MENA region," said Soliman. "We’re currently witnessing great interest from Netflix to produce and avail Egyptian and Arabic dubbed content that is suitable for family viewing. I have always been eager to participate in a special movie like ‘Over The Moon’ by legendary animated creator Glen Keane. I can’t wait to watch this movie with my family and enjoy Fei Fei’s exciting journey to accomplish the impossible."

The song will be released on all digital platforms on September 25th, ahead of the film release on October 23rd. For more info about the film and the whirlwind of adventures to come, head to Netflix.com/overthemoon.
