What if classic works of art were actually selfies?

Back in the day when Van Gogh wanted a self-portrait, he would sit down and spend days, weeks or even months, scraping away a mirage of dulled colours to form a post-impressionist impression of his face. In fact, he did this quite a lot; over 30 self-portraits were painted by the Dutch artist between 1836 and 1889. In conclusion Van Gogh was a bit of a narcisissist and you can imagine, if iPhones were around back in the day he'd have a bit of an addiction to selfies. Graphic designer Dave Howard imagines this skewed world of classic paintings as... selfies...
