Egyptian Actress May Elghety Joins Cast of New Animated Disney Series
The ‘Every Week Has a Friday’ star will be featured in Disney’s sci-fi anthology, ‘Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire’.
Egypt’s May Elghety has joined the cast of Disney’s upcoming animated sci-fi series, ‘Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire’. Set to premiere in 2023, the Disney+ Original is a 10-part anthology that follows futuristic stories across Africa, inspired by the continent’s rich cultural heritage. This will be Elghety’s second international project after starring in the British film ‘Due Dating’ alongside Danielle Scott, Jade Asha and Alex Crockford.
Egyptian director Ahmed Teilab has also joined the series’ writing and directing team, which features a slew of African artists.
May Elghety has made her mark on Egyptian cinema and TV, having been featured in ‘Clash’ (2016), ‘High School Girls’ (2020), ‘Taye’a’ (2018), ‘Every Week Has A Friday’ (2020), and ‘MAMA’ (2022) which premiered at the Cairo International Film Festival.
