Homegrown Brands Compete at Design Extravaganza Youthout's Shababco

Young, ambitious dreamers, gather around. After making a splash earlier this year with their fashion & film competition, Youthout is back with ‘Shababco’— another culturally immersive and interactive experience, by youth for youth. This two-day event creates a space for young artists, brand owners and performers to exhibit their talents in front of a ‘shababy’ crowd.

Shababco is an all-out art extravaganza with a whirlwind of events and activities set to inspire young, aspiring artists. The event will showcase more than 20 local Egyptian artists and 50 youth vendors, placing a spotlight on home-grown, youth-led Egyptian brands. And just to add a little competition into the mix, the highest selling vendor will win a free summer course from EU Business School.

Attendees will be treated to talks by influential contributors including actress Amina Khalil and famed fashion designer Mohanad Kojak as well as performances from Ritah Sebeh, Malak Farghaly and Oasis X Child. In the midst of these star-studded talks, they’ll be able to check out various art installations, an interactive paint wall, live drawings, workshops, a bazaar and a stage photo booth.

Shababco will take place at Arkan Plaza in Sheikh Zayed, from May 21st to May 22nd.
