The National Theatre for Children Ensemble, housed in the Artistic House of Theatre, is on the lookout for some fresh, young talents. The troupe’s Egyptian Talents Division has opened applications for children to join the second round of their ‘Egypt’s Talents’ workshops from October 11th to October 19th, free of charge.

The workshops are open to children born between 2003 and 2015, who will be able to fill out the participation form available on the Egypt Talents’ Facebook page and submit it at the Metropole Cinema in Attaba. To be accepted into the programme, applicants will then need to pass a series of tests. Among the professional artists leading the workshops are Hassan Youssef, Wael Awad and Karima Badir.

The first round of workshops took place last year and concluded with a graduation show ‘We Want Peace’ which was performed at the Metropole Cinema for a full season with great success.

The Egypt Talents Division was founded by Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, the Minister of Culture in November 2020, to train a new generation of children in the theatrical arts.
