Old Cairo’s Coptic Museum Holds Christmas Exhibition

To commemorate the Christmas season, the Coptic Museum in Old Cairo has organised an archaeological exhibition titled ‘A Song of Joy’, which will be available for the next three weeks. ‘A Song of Joy’ features 11 artefacts from the museum’s reserves that, in some way or another, depict celebratory scenes for Christmas and the Coptic New Year.

The museum is also organising a number of entertainment activities, workshops, and lectures alongside the exhibit, to help visitors keep in touch with the origins of this sacred holiday. Their schedule includes a ballet show, a violin performance, ‘Paper Painting’ class with artist Alaa Sharara, and a Christmas decorations workshop.
