Orascom Invests EGP 200 Million in Revamped Sound & Light Show at Giza

Orascom Pyramids, a subsidiary of Orascom Investment Holding, is investing EGP 200 million to revamp the sound and light show at the Great Pyramids of Giza. The overhaul - which will install new equipment and modernise the Pyramids' 40-year-old sound and light show experience - is expected to cost EGP 350 million by the time it's complete, with plans to launch the show's trial run in about two years.

Orascom Pyramids was the sole bidder of the Sound and Light Company's redevelopment contract, where they sought out a private sector developer in 2020.

The revamp is part of a larger development plan by Orascom Pyramids, which will also see office spaces, open restaurants and retail outlets built in the area around the Giza Pyramids.
