Sound Of Egypt Orchestra To Play American Film Scores

We’re going to take an educated guess and say you might have a thing for film scores. Well it just so happens that we do too, and much to our delight, so does the Sound of Egypt Orchestra; set to take place on the 27th of January, the Cairo Symphony Orchestra will be performing an orchestral concert with a selection of songs from some of the best American films in their upcoming concert, “Hits of American Films: The World of Crossovers (III).”

The selection includes an interesting collection of songs from a varied lot of films and composers, such as themes from the rabidly popular Harry Potter franchise, the titular title theme from Jaws and the Home Alone Choral, in addition to more grandiose themes from The Dark Knight, The Sound of Music and Lawrence of Arabia, and those are just some of what’s on offer.

The Sound of Egypt Orchestra, established in march 2013 and spearheaded by founder Ahmed Atef, has been performing a litany of live concerts for both classical music and film scores. In addition to being the main conductor and director of the Sound of Egypt, Ahmed Atef is also an instructor at the High Institute of Arab Music, and is a distinguished violinist in the Cairo Symphony Orchestra.

So if you feel like filling your evening on the 27th with a wide variety of famous musical scores, make sure to visit the event page and mark your calendar.
