The play - ‘Ahfad Raya Wa Sakina’, referencing the historic serial killers - follows Raeis’ character as she suffers a financial tumble and lands a low-income neighbourhood.
Yasmin Raeis and Dina El Sherbiny are taking to the stage for their first play - ‘Ahfad Raya Wa Sakina’, or ‘Descendents of Raya & Sakina’. Named after two of Egypt’s most notorious serial killers and thieves, the play follows Raeis’ character as she suffers a financial tumble that strips her from a life of luxury and lands her in a low-income neighbourhood. Then things get interesting.
The play is written by Ahmed Shaker and Moustafa Hosni, produced by Ahmed Khaled Moussa and Raymond Ramsis, directed by Sameh Bassiouni, and will be artistically supervised by Hadi El Bagouri. When and where the play will be shown is yet to be revealed.
