Zawya Cinema Hosts Stanley Kubrick Retrospective All Through September

Downtown Cairo’s Zawya Cinema is putting on a month-long celebration of internationally renowned American film director, producer, screenwriter, and photographer, Stanley Kubrick. The ‘Stanley Kubrick Retrospective’ will allow the viewers to follow his body of work as it developed from his fascination with literary and historical epics to dark absurdist affairs.

All through September, the indie cinema will screen ‘2001: Space Odyssey’, ‘Paths of Glory’, ‘Lolita’, ‘Dr. Strangelove’, ‘Barry Lyndon’, ‘The Shining’, and ‘Full Metal Jacket’. Each of these films will be screened twice, once during the first round between September 1st to September 10th, and then again between September 13th and September 25th.
