With everything moving from the real world, to the online world, proves art is no exception.

With a pretty awesomely designed website (if we do say so ourselves) and a mission to introduce affordable art into your home, we’re seriously impressed with - a new venture by some of Cairo’s pretty young things. Logging on to the website, you’ll find that it’s more than an online shopping platform. It’s an online art community that allows artists from across the country to create a profile and upload their work. It’s then looked at by the Arts Mart team of curators who pick and choose the most suitable pieces which are then available for the great Egyptian public to buy. With young up and coming artists such as Tasneem El Meshad, Mariam Hathout, Hany Rashed and Mohamed El Masry already in the online gallery, we suspect that the new concept is going to make some serious waves.

The best part? On any piece of art displayed on Art’s Mart, you’ll find a ‘View on Virtual Wall’ button that lets you see what that piece would look like in your room. This is how Tasneem El Meshad’s TukTuk painting would like like in the CairoScene office, where couches sit on us and flowers grow out of lamps:
So, get buying at now. Alternatively, just play with the virtual wall.
