For those working from home or kickstarting their own business, renting out an office space with limited funds and even less employees (or potentially none), isn’t always feasible or necessary. That’s where the co-working space comes in to save the day. Whether you’re looking to spice up your WFH routine or meet with colleagues somewhere that isn’t a Starbucks— these spots are your best bets in Cairo.

MQR Spaces

Previously known as Al Maqarr, MQR is not only a coworking space but a collaborative community that offers conference rooms, organized events, and affordable training sessions in different fields. First opening its doors in October 2012, this leading coworking space is one of the main reasons for the growth in popularity of the Spaces Industry in Cairo. It’s easily one of the biggest co-working chains in the country.

Their locations include training rooms, private spaces, meeting rooms, and floating desks with high-speed internet, food and beverage, and a community care team. MQR has locations in Heliopolis, downtown’s GrEEK Campus, Maadi, Al Rehab, 6th of October, Sheikh Zayed, New Cairo, and El Gouna. Their monthly rates range from EGP1500 to 2000.

The space has been featured on the likes of GQ, USA Today, and Fast Company.

Their spaces include training and meeting rooms, high-speed internet, spaces to host talks and workshops, and food and beverage. Located at 2 Wadi El Nil St in Mohandessin, the first hour costs EGP57 and then EGP37 for every additional hour or EGP230 for a full day.
