Aqualia Takes On 1.5 Million Feddan Project in Egypt's Countryside
Aqualia and Egyptian Countryside Development will work on a massive 1.5 million feddan mega-project to set up water desalination stations and smart irrigation systems across rural Egypt.
Aqualia, a Spanish water management company, has signed an MoU with the Egyptian Countryside Development Company to work together on a massive 1.5 million feddan mega-project to set up water desalination stations and smart irrigation systems across rural Egypt.
The MoU stipulates that both companies will conduct initial research and visibility studies for the project, and will work on obtaining approvals from the proper authorities.
Aqualia is the fourth largest water management company in Europe, ranking ninth in the world according to the latest Global Water Intelligence ranking in March 2021, and currently serves nearly 30 million people in 17 countries.
