Between Me and Racism

Just in case you’ve only got @Tamarai_Egy on your feed, here’s a quick update:

Last night, famed / infamous Egyptian feminist and activist Mona Eltahawy was arrested in a New York tube station. Clad in a shocking pink coat and armed with a matching can of pink spray paint she proceeded to deface one of the controversial and provocative “anti-jihad savages” posters that had popped up in 10 bustling stations across Manhattan. She was swiftly arrested (after also spray painting the goading woman who got in her way) and now the twitterverse is awash with both a #FreeMona campaign (Part II) and a screw you Mona (we’re paraphrasing of course) campaign.
