Brotherhood Goes Underground

Attention all Metro-goers! Supporters of deposed President Morsi have announced subway sit-ins today (Sunday September 15th), hoping to paralyse the public transport service by quite literally sitting in the underground trains all day.

Mohamed Badawy, Deputy Chairman of the Cairo Metro which is run by the National Authority for Tunnels, noted that traffic police would be present in all stations throughout the day. In addition Metro ticket holders will be required to leave the station once they have arrived at their destination.
