#JeSuisCharlie Says the World

As France remains in shock after three gunmen killed 12 Charlie Hebdo writers and caricaturists, tributes and condemnation flood in from across the world.

Staff Writer

As 12 people were killed by gunmen storming the Paris headquarters of French magazine Charlie Hebdo yesterday, worldwide proclamations of solidarity for the slain journalist and caricaturists have flooded social media. The Charlie Hebdo staff were allegedly assassinated for their caricatures of religious symbols and personas, including the Muslim Prophet Mohamned, and shot dead by three suspected Al Qaeda terrorists. Overnight, journalists, artists and individuals have taken to Instagram to express their support for the right of freedom of speech. We have accumulated some of the most touching and powerful tributes from Instagram in memory of those lost.
